SALEM- House Majority Leader Mary Nolan announced Monday that former congressional aide Jonathan Pugsley will be her new Chief of Staff.

Pugsley specialized in natural resource and education issues in Congressman Kurt Schrader’s office, after serving as Oregon Field Director for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign in 2008. He also formerly worked for Forward PAC, FuturePAC and Senator Rick Metsger, D-Mt. Hood.

In a press release sent out Monday afternoon, Pugsley said he hopes to be able to contribute to “a caucus that continues to put Oregon families and businesses first.”

“Jon brings a long record of experience to the House Democratic Caucus. We are lucky to have him,” said Nolan in Monday’s release. “He will be a great asset as we communicate with Oregonians about our priorities and move our policy agenda through the legislative process.”
